climate change

The failure of COPENHAGEN summit is an alarming issue for the society. The result comes out in the "HAITI" debacle. The developing nations are trying to grow their GDP graphs. At the same time they are not concerned about the carbon emission. Many brands such as IDEA,NOKIA,PANASONIC had taken initiatives to influence people for the climate change by showing new moral ads.The media is also showing interest towards it.
In my city BHUBANESWAR the government is cutting trees for broadening the roads.Huge number of trees are loosing their life. Whom to blame?
Heat stroke is also an issue in ORISSA. so on what basis the govt. is cutting the trees ?the answer is they want to reduce the traffic congestion and also to make the city beautiful so that they can join the cosmopolitan city club of INDIA. we cannot blame the govt decision because they want to provide the best service to the public and at the same time we cannot blame the public because it is contributing to the over all GDP growth of the nation. the blame game will not work in this context. we can only spread awareness and initiatives. such as
IN kiit school of management the administration has banned the using of two wheelers inside the campus.Even the parking of vehicles is not allowed in the campus.
in my opinion it is a good initiative but lets see productive it will become in the future?
so in general we all have to think about the environment and also to take initiatives so that our mother nature will stay happy and our growth will also become harmonic.
